We are building a directory of mechanics, garages, towing services and parts dealers across Ghana, starting in Kumasi. A business certificate proves somebody filed paperwork. It tells you nothing about the fitter who will work on your car. So we go and look.
The member number
Every verified workshop gets one, and keeps it.
The last digit is a check digit. Mistype any single character and the number fails instead of quietly matching a different workshop. That matters when the number is painted on a wall and read out over the phone.
How a workshop gets listed
An AutoKonnect agent visits the workshop, photographs it, and records where it stands using a satellite fix taken on the spot. No fix, no listing.
Nothing is listed without the owner's consent, recorded with the date it was given. A workshop can ask to be taken down at any time.
A member number is issued and the workshop may display Visited by AutoKonnect. It is reviewed by a second person, never by the agent who recorded it.

The categories come from workshops in Kumasi describing their own trade, not from a list we invented in an office.

If you run a workshop
There is no joining fee and no monthly fee. AutoKonnect earns a commission only when a customer pays for a job through the platform.
